The Amherst Athletic Club is owned and operated by Larry Kelley, Donna Kelley and Kirik Jenness. So at anytime during our extensive hours of operation, an owner is on site.
AAC grew out of the Karate Health Fitness Center, which was founded in 1982 at the Mt. Farms Mall (now better known as Wal Mart) and moved to Amherst a year later. All of the owners are former top-rated karate competitors with a Umass background in Exercise Science and Sport Management.

Aerobics classes are a great way to get, or stay, in shape. Music, mirrors, an exuberant instructor and a sense of camaraderie helps makes the time go by. The Amherst Athletic Club has the largest aerobics room in the Valley
and a special suspended wood floor to negate impact.
We also have state-of-the-art computerized exercise machines and in great enough number so you never have to wait in line.
